Between March 30th – April 7th English Tourism Week 2019 sets to celebrate the people, places and experiences that help make holidays in England so great.
"I am certainly proud to be English, and in my career have been lucky enough to travel the world, I have seen the beauty in the mountains, the sadness in historical sites and fallen in love with the architecture of the world, however, my first love of travel stemmed from the culture, places and experiences right here in the UK.
Sometimes we forget what is on our door step, Historic England lists 382 places to visit in England from Medieval Castles, Bridges, Gardens, Steam Rail Lines and so many destinations that combine the best of English Tourism. How many can you say you have you seen?"
Grand UK Holidays wants raise to the profile of this event, and highlight all of the wonderful attractions and destinations we have here in England.
So if you are an avid traveller, a single tourist, or a company that wants to get invlovled, simply head to the English Tourism Week website, and follow us on our social pages to keep updated.
Chairman of English Tourism Week, David Curtis-Brignell told us;
"English Tourism Week is held deliberately just before Easter each year to kick-start the season and give businesses a showcase to highlight what’s new for the year.
We tend to overlook places on our doorstep and so we encourage local residents to get out and about and fall in love, or back in love with somewhere special.
When family and friends come to visit later in the year you will know exactly where to take them for a great time.”
