YOUR CRUISE ITINERARY
DAY 1: We collect you from home with our Door to Door Service and take you to join your tour coach. Soon we are crossing the Channel and continuing to our overnight stop in Germany.
DAY 2: Today we continue through Germany, visiting the city of Nuremburg and our first glimpse of the Danube as it passes through the old town. Afterwards we make our way to our overnight stop in Southern Germany.
DAY 3: A leisurely start before reaching Passau on the border with Austria. Here there is free time to explore the town before we board our ship late afternoon. After settling into your cabin, join your fellow guests for a cocktail reception and dinner as your ship departs towards the Engelhartszell region.
DAY 4: We wake up in Melk where we include a visit to Melk Abbey, before cruising through the scenic Wachau Valley and arriving in the charming medieval town of Durnstein. Enjoy some free time here before the remainder of the afternoon is spent cruising to Vienna. This evening we include a Vienna by night tour to take-in your first sights of this beautiful city.
DAY 5: This morning, we include a guided tour of Vienna, revealing the highlights of this wonderful city of imperial places, classical music and pastries. Our tour includes a visit to the majestic Schonbrunn Palace, the summer residence of the Habsburgs and one of Vienna’s most distinctive landmarks. This afternoon is free to explore Vienna at leisure where the local cakes and coffee are worth savouring. This evening enjoy a gala dinner on board as we depart Vienna.
DAY 6: This morning, we reach the former capital of Hungary, Esztergom, where there is free time to wander the ancient streets before spending the afternoon cruising, passing through the pretty Danube Bend to reach the enchanting city of Budapest. This evening after dinner, we include a night tour of the Hungarian capital.
DAY 7: This morning, we include a guided tour of Budapest. Our tour takes you either side of the Danube to the hills of Buda and the plains of Pest – essentially two cities blended into one capital. Enjoy views of the stunning Parliament buildings on the water's edge as well as some of the city’s finest Baroque and Neoclassical architecture. This afternoon is free to explore further at your own leisure. This evening, we include a folklore evening in the city, discovering traditional Gypsy dances and costumes.
DAY 8: This morning, we disembark after breakfast in Budapest and begin our journey homewards. We pass back into Austria, taking a short visit in the town of Linz, before returning into Germany for our overnight stop.
DAY 9: We continue our journey north through Europe, making a short stop in the city of Mainz, beside the River Rhine, before reaching our final overnight stop.
DAY 10: Returning across the Channel today, we make our way homewards, concluding with our Door to Door Service.
