Your Itinerary:
MONDAY: From your home we collect you with our Door to Door Service and transfer you to your tour coach. Soon you are on your way to cross the English Channel and onwards to our overnight stop.
TUESDAY: We continue south today heading into Austria and arriving in Imst for our five night stay at the welcoming Hirschen Hotel.
WEDNESDAY: A day at leisure in Imst to immerse yourself in your Tyrolean surroundings. Explore the village, perhaps take a cable car into the surrounding mountains or take the local bus service to a nearby village with your included Imst travel card.
THURSDAY: Enjoy a scenic day of touring today as we head through the stunning Fern Pass, between wooded glades and soaring peaks, before crossing into Germany to reach the Bavarian alpine town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen at the foot of the Zugspitze – Germany’s highest peak. We continue to the village of Oberammergau, famed for its once a decade passion play, before returning into Austria and visiting Seefeld, located on a sunny high plateau in the Alps.
FRIDAY: Today we visit Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol surrounded by the high Alps and divided by the Inn River. The Old Town is magnificent with highlights such as the famous Golden Roof, the Maria Theresia Street, the Wilten Basilica and St James Cathedral. This afternoon we make a visit to the shores of Lake Achensee, Austria’s largest lake, where the crystal waters shimmer with reflections of the surrounding alps, before returning to our hotel.
SATURDAY:This morning we meet with a local guide for a tour of Imst and the surrounding area before we travel west through the Tyrol to the charming village of St Anton. Here there is time to explore the vibrant centre or take a ride on a cable car for wonderful views.
SUNDAY: This morning we say farewell to our Tyrolean hosts and return into Germany and onward to our overnight hotel.
MONDAY: Our Tyrolean adventure comes to a close as we cross the Channel before our Door to Door Service returns you safely home.
