Grand UK Holidays, part of The UK Holiday Group, has recently invested in a brand new Gold coach. Grand UK Gold is a sub-brand of the popular coach holiday company, who tailor their trips to the more mature traveller in both the UK and Europe. Established for more than 35 years, they have taken more than a million people away on holiday, and by raising the standard of their already luxury brand, Gold, they hope even more will be able to enjoy a truly unique holiday experience.
The UK Holiday group have formed a long-standing partnership with coach operator Olympia Travel, who they commissioned to design the bespoke, one of a kind coach, especially for Grand UK Gold tours with the vision to add even more value to the brands' holiday offerings.
The brand new Gold coach offers its passengers extra leg room, with reclining leather seats that can also move toward the aisle, creating more space between passengers sitting together. Each seat has its own USB port so devices can be charged on the go, and with free Wi-Fi on-board, we are sure this is a feature that will be welcomed on long journeys.
The black tinted panoramic windows aren’t just a stylish touch, they offer maximum views for taking in all the passing scenery and help reduce glare. An on-board library is available with a selection of magazines and there is a drinks machine and fridge to ensure you are kept hydrated.
This 44 seat luxury coach, has individually controlled air-con and seat numbers embroidered into the head rests, so you can easily find your reserved seats. With more seats than a Grand UK Gold coach has ever had before, and more space for passengers to enjoy, this really is a coach dedicated not only for comfort, but also safety.
Ian Clarke, Coaching Controller at The UK Holiday Group commented;
“Safety and comfort are paramount to us and this investment ticks both those boxes more than once. Our new luxury Gold coach not only offers our holidaymakers what they have come to expect whilst on a Grand UK Gold coach but much, much more. We have been able to increase safety measures by taking advantage of latest technologies.
“The Advance Emergency Breaking System (AEBS) uses a camera positioned at the front of the vehicle to measure distances and applies gentle pressure to the brakes if that distance is compromised, whilst the Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) will sense if the vehicle is drifting off-lane and send a warning to the driver by vibrating the driver’s seat.
“Our Gold holidays are always a popular choice with customers, and we’re delighted to be able to improve their holiday away with us by providing even more luxury than they are used to. This coach has four more seats and is over 1.5 metres bigger than any of our previous Gold coaches. It’s a really exciting investment and we can’t wait to get her out on the open road!”
