Today we head to the historic city of York where the York Christmas Festival is in full flow, with over 70 alpine chalets offering an array of festive gifts, seasonal food and drink and artisan products. Combine a visit to the market with a wander through The Shambles, York’s narrow streets crammed with independent shops, leading towards the grounds of the majestic York Minster.
FULL DAY: Leeds Christmas Market
To the vibrant city of Leeds today where its centre comes alive with the bustle of its Christmas Market. Along with its traditional feast of shopping outlets that makes it one of the most popular centres in England, the market brings all the cheer of the festive season amid wooden chalets offering traditional and unique gifts, seasonal flavours and lots of Christmas cheer.
HALF DAY: Harrogate
This morning, we visit Harrogate, a charming and fashionable spa town known for its lush green parkland, stunning gardens, elegant boutiques, and delightful teashops. Nestled on the edge of the breathtaking Yorkshire Dales, Harrogate offers a perfect blend of history, attractive architecture, and modern amenities, making it a popular destination for visitors.
EVENING: RHS Glow at Harlow Carr Gardens
On one evening we take a magical trip RHS Harlow Carr where the grounds are transformed into a dazzling display of glittering lights, shimmering shrubs and brightened trees as you follow the enchanting Glow Illuminations trail through the grounds, offering captivating memories around every corner. As well as the trail there are festive stalls to indulge in the tastes of the festive season, including mulled wine, Bratwurst and sweet treats at Betty’s Teahouse.
