Every year we receive thousands of wonderful letters singing the praises about our dedicated Tour Managers, and if you’ve travelled with us before that won’t come as any surprise.
Our tour Managers are there purely for your extra comfort and enjoyment, from organising activities and imparting local knowledge to breaking the ice and helping you all make the most of your holiday.
We have more than sixty Tour Managers and they are simply the best in the business – but don’t just take our word for it, book your coach trips with us and see for yourself!
We hand-pick these extra special people because of their passion for people and places, they are the heartbeat of our holidays, a smiling face, a helping hand and always a listening ear. Our Tour Managers have the ability to turn a great time into a truly magical and memorable holiday experience.
Many of our Tour Managers have been doing the job with Grand UK Holidays for a number of years, like Daphne Presgrave, who’s been in the role for 18 years, or Robin Adams, who’s been doing it for 5 years. Why do they love their jobs so much? A lot of it is down to you, our customers.
Daphne explained to us how she loves meeting all of you, getting to know you and hearing the interesting, amusing and fun stories you have to share. She finds it enjoyable to share her knowledge of the different places you visit, and enjoys coming up with little quizzes and games to play, keeping you all entertained whilst travelling.
Robin’s reasons are very similar, saying how he enjoys imparting his knowledge of the history and culture UK and Ireland has to offer, and making people laugh. Laughter is the key to an enjoyable break after all. Making people feel special is what it’s all about, which is why Robin does his utmost to ensure everyone is happy and relaxed during their break!
Don’t just take our word for it – here’s some recent reviews discussing our Tour Managers.
“I have had numerous holidays with Grand UK. The Tour Managers and drivers are excellent, most of them are very knowledgeable, most of them very caring, most of them very amusing, ALL of them good at their job. I like the fact that you can say goodbye to your suitcase at the transfer pick-up first thing in the morning and it magically arrives outside/inside your room several hours later. I have two more holidays booked with Grand UK for this year and another one already booked for 2019.” – Sue in Rainham.
“Very friendly and helpful staff when booking tour. Tours are well organised and great Tour Managers, who have good knowledge of the areas visiting. We have been members of the Grand UK travel club for many years and we thoroughly recommend it - well worth the money for the savings you can make.” – Mr & Mrs West.
“We received very good care and attention on our recent trip to Keukenhof Gardens, our tour driver Adrian and tour manager Jane were superb.” – Mrs S Beattie.
“We have just returned from a fabulous 8 day coach trip to Scotland. From start to finish the service was excellent. Our tour guide Brian and our driver Neil excelled themselves, and were available to everyone at all times.” – Judith H
