Top Attractions in Eastbourne

29 June 2017

Millions of people visit Eastbourne every year, and we can understand why. It is a beautiful, traditional seaside town, with a whole lot of activities, events and sites to keep you coming back year after year.

If you're heading that way, here are some things Eastbourne has to offer:

Eastbourne Airshow - Celebrating 25 years, this fine airshow will be displaying some of the best planes in aviation. Between the 17th & 20th August, Airbourne will attract huge crowds to watch the very best in military and civilian aviation including the Red Arrows, Typhoon and a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Royal Hippodrome Theatre - over 130 years old, this hippodrome has a plethora of shows throughout the year. From tribute acts such as Whitney Houston, Frank Sinatra, Simon & Garfunkel, and many more, it is also home to theatre productions and variety shows.

Sovereign Harbour and the Waterfront - the largest composite marina complex in northern Europe is home to the Waterfront retail and restaurant development. Here you'll find a whole plethora of boutique shops, high street names, a cinema, galleries and a range of restaurants serving a variety of cuisines.

Magnificent Motors - Every year there are classic and vintage car shows, including the Magnificent Motors show.

Winter Gardens - there's lots to keep you entertained at the winter gardens including tea dances, comedy clubs and even an annual beer festival!

Redoubt Fortress - built to keep Napolean's armies out of Britain, the fortress is one of the south coast’s most historic landmarks. With 200 years of history, guarding the coast of Eastbourne, it's a unique location worth visiting.

Miniature Steam Railway - all the trains are one eighth the size of their full size locomotives, but you can still enjoy a ride for nearly a mile around the lovely country park. You can also meander around the five acre lake, full of wildlife.

Tennis - If you visit during the summer months of June and July, you could treat yourself to a bit of tennis, watching top international players take part in this tournament. It's a good warm up for Wimbledon in July!

Our Eastbourne at Ease holiday allows you plenty of your own time to explore all that Eastbourne has to offer.

These are just some of the places you can visit in Eastbourne, there's a lot more you can see and do when visiting.
