Sunday: From local joining points we make our way towards Wales and our overnight stop.
Monday: An early start this morning as we drive to Holyhead to take the morning ferry, breakfast voucher provided, to the fair city of Dublin. From here we cross the Emerald Isle, arriving in Killarney and the Eviston House Hotel for dinner and a five night stay.
Tuesday: A day at leisure, perhaps enjoy a visit to the lakes or take one of the famous Jaunting Cars to Muckross House.
Wednesday: A full day tour of the glorious Ring of Kerry – one of the most spectacular areas of natural beauty in Europe. As part of the Wild Atlantic Way, the Iveragh Peninsula – or Ring of Kerry – is a mystical and unspoilt part of Ireland with stunning vistas around each corner and traditional Gaelic villages, don’t forget your camera to record this unforgettable journey.
Thursday: Another scenic delight today as we head for the Dingle Peninsula, or Corca Dhuibbne, which stretches into the Atlantic Ocean and is considered to be the jewel in the crown of the Wild Atlantic Way. It is impossible to visit this mountainous finger of land and not be impressed with the magnificent mountains from Slieve Mish to Mount Brandon and the stunning seascapes round every corner. Combine this with a huge variety of folklore and mythology, along with a traditional Irish language culture and history and you have a unique experience to take home.
Friday: This morning to Foynes and a fascinating visit to the Flying Boat Museum which celebrates the landing in Foynes of the first Pan Am Flying Boat from America. Housed in the old terminal building it recalls that nostalgic era when this tiny place on the River Shannon became the centre of the aviation world. It is also the birthplace of the Irish Coffee, and a demonstration and tasting are included too (8 day holidays only).
Saturday: An early start this morning as we leave Killarney and journey directly to Dublin to board the mid-afternoon ferry, with a dinner voucher included, which returns us to Holyhead in the evening for the journey to our overnight hotel.
Sunday: Our Irish holiday draws to a close with the journey homeward.
Please note: On seven day holidays the excursion to Adare & Foynes is omitted.
