Eastbourne is a beautiful seaside town in East Sussex, welcoming hundreds of thousands of holidaymakers every year, but what is making Eastbourne such a firm favourite with Grand UK Holidays' holidaymakers?
The pier is one of Eastbourne's main attractions with its tea room, chip shop, Jazz lounge, bar and nightclub all propped up above the blue sea - there's so much to see, do and eat, that there's no reason to go anywhere else.
Eastbourne has a lot of natural features too such as Beachy Head and the South Downs, or one of the numerous parks and gardens, including the Italian Garden and Princes Park, all of which draw in the crowds.
There’s also a lot of history ranging from Eastbourne Redoubt, a fortress built to withstand attacks from Napoleon to the iconic bandstand, which still to this day has regular performances.
One of the biggest annual events is Airbourne, the free air show, held every August, featuring classic aeroplanes from throughout the years.
If you’re a fan of tennis, then you should head to the Eastbourne International tennis tournament. The annual competition tends to be a warm-up for Wimbledon, so hosts some big sporting names such as Novak Djokovic, Heather Watson and Johanna Konta.
At Grand UK Holidays, we have 20 dates available for various holidays to this wonderful seaside resort, from our relaxing Eastbourne at Ease tour, where you choose what you want to do and when, to the New Year in Eastbourne holiday.
