Take a boat trip on the lake, people-watch in open-air cafes, explore the many historic buildings, soak-up the sun - and look forward to a sightseeing tour programme taking in the spectacular Dolomite Mountains, the romantic city of Verona, and the 'floating city' of Venice.

Your Itinerary

THURSDAY: From local departure points we make our way across the Channel and on to our overnight stop.

FRIDAY: Into Germany and onward to our second overnight stop.

SATURDAY: Today we enter Austria and cross over the Brenner Pass into Italy and onward to the Grand Hotel in Riva del Garda for seven nights.

SUNDAY: A day at leisure in Riva to relax.

MONDAY: A superb full day excursion to Venice. This unique floating city has many outstanding landmarks such as St Mark’s Square, the Doge’s Palace and the Rialto Bridge, along with its famous gondolas and vaporettes (water buses).

TUESDAY: Today we ascend the stunning Dolomite Mountains - Italy’s most spectacular mountain range. Dramatic peaks tower above us, with flowerfilled alpine valleys below, and we pass countless picture perfect villages - as well as visiting the glamorous resort of Cortina.

WEDNESDAY: A day at leisure to relax by the shores of Lake Garda.

THURSDAY: A free day in Riva - perhaps take a ferry to one of the pretty neighbouring towns or villages along the lakeside.

FRIDAY: A full day excursion to Verona, the mythical home of Romeo and Juliet. This attractive city of narrow lanes and elegant square’s also includes the vast Verona Arena - home to the famous Verona Opera.

SATURDAY: This morning we leave Lake Garda and return through Austria and into Germany.

SUNDAY: We continue our return journey to reach our final overnight stop.

MONDAY: Crossing the Channel we return home.
