Full day: Today we head for RAF Digby, an operational signals base, for a guided tour of the now restored Operations Room. This afternoon enjoy a visit to the Aviation Heritage Centre at East Kirkby where the famous AVRO Lancaster ‘Just Jane’ is based along with an award winning collection of WWII memorabilia.
Full day: This morning we head to Petwood House, home of 617 ‘Dambusters’ Squadron before we reach Thorpe Camp, a museum dedicated to 617 Squadron, and converted from the old NAAFI of RAF Woodhall Spa.
Full day: This morning we take a trip to Newark Air Museum, situated on the site of RAF Winthorpe, which offers a superb insight into the history of aviation through its magnificent displays. We continue to RAF Coningsby, home of The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, which could include Spitfires, Hurricanes or the only flying Lancaster in Britain.
