Cruise Highlights: • Vienna • Durnstein • Melk Abbey • Budapest • Bratislava • Wachau Valley and the Danube Bend
Day 1: From local joining points we cross the Channel and continue on to our overnight stop.
Day 2: We make our way through Germany to reach Passau to board the Serenity in time for dinner. This evening we cruise overnight towards Melk.
Day 3: This morning arrive in the small town of Melk. Here we include a short visit to the stunning Benedictine Abbey, sitting high above the town and the Danube. Re-joining our ship we continue our cruise to reach Vienna.
Day 4: Enjoy a full day in Vienna today. This morning we include a guided tour of the city to get orientated before spending free time in this beautiful place. This evening we depart and cruise overnight towards Budapest.
Day 5: Arriving in the Hungarian capital of Budapest. Our guided tour gets you acquainted with the city where Buda and Pest lie on opposite sides of the Danube. Then enjoy free time to explore the many treasures of the city.
Day 6: A free morning in Budapest before we set sail towards the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava, cruising overnight.
Day 7: Today we arrive in Bratislava, dominated by its castle and unique suspension bridge. Enjoy free time to discover this small capital before we depart mid-afternoon to cruise overnight to Durnstein.
Day 8: This morning we reach Durnstein, an attractive town with cobbled streets and pretty courtyards, as well as the ruins of the castle that once played host to Richard the Lionheart. Enjoy free time in the town before the final leg of our cruise through the Wachau Valley and cruising overnight to return to Passau.
Day 9: This morning we disembark and make our way through Germany to our overnight stop.
Day 10: Returning to Calais we cross the Channel and complete our journey homeward.
This purpose built vessel offers spacious public areas and facilities on board include a lounge bar located on the Panorama Deck and the unique Lido Bar at the rear of the Panorama Deck, leading to an outdoor terrace. The Sun Deck enjoys commanding views and is equipped with lounge chairs and awnings and all meals are taken in the restaurant. There is a lift on board that provides access to all decks except the Sun Deck. Main Deck cabins are located on the Lower Deck and feature twin small viewing windows and twin beds that are folded away during the day. Middle Deck cabins feature a large sliding window and two separate beds that are folded into sofas during the day. Panorama Deck cabins are located on the Upper Deck and boast a French Balcony and twin beds that are folded away during the day. All cabins include private facilities, air-conditioning, radio, satellite television, safe and hairdryer.
Please note: Whilst there is a lift onboard, wheelchair access to/from the ship is not possible.
