FULL DAY: This morning we head into Oxfordshire and visit the 'city of dreaming spires', Oxford, itself the back drop to many popular TV dramas (including Inspector Morse). This afternoon we make our way to Highclere Castle (admission included), the backdrop to the ITV costume drama, Downton Abbey. The castle is portrayed as an Edwardian country house in the TV series and as home to the Crawley family.

FULL DAY: Today we pass through the newest 'Royal' town of Wootton Bassett and on to Lacock. Famous for its picturesque streets, this finely preserved, National Trust protected, town has been widely used in period dramas, from Cranford to the hugely popular Pride and Prejudice. This afternoon we visit the beautiful Roman city of Bath.

FULL DAY: A full day excursion today as we tour into the Cotswold Hills to Tetbury. This attractive Cotswolds town has many elegant buildings and specialty shops to explore before we visit Chavenage House (admission included), portrayed as Candleford House in the TV drama Lark Rise to Candleford. Passing the source of the Thames, we continue to Cirencester, with its bustling market square and medieval atmosphere.
