Remember the long running Good Old Days show on BBC television, hosted by Leonard Sachs and staged at the famous City Varieties Theatre in Leeds? Well, for limited periods each year the shows are recreated, featuring talented variety artists including singers and comedians. We include best seats in the house for the Good Old Days performance, and some wonderful coach tours through the lovely Yorkshire Dales and to York.

Lincolnshire has a vast aviation heritage and is renowned as the ‘Home of the Royal Air Force’. The county’s flat open countryside made it ideal for development of airfields during the Great War, and during World War II Lincolnshire became the most important home of Bomber Command. Combining visits to museums and trailing some of the former RAF stations in the area, our fascinating itinerary bears witness to the courage, determination and bravery of the men and women who served our country in more turbulent times.

Thanks to its once great coal and slate mining industry, Wales is still blessed with a number of working, smaller gauge, railways. Often traversing steep inclines, and offering breathtaking views around almost every corner, these ‘Great Little Trains’ are a tribute to the engineers of yesteryear who built the lines, and of course the army of enthusiastic volunteers who keep the railways running to this day.
