General Manager
Steve Matheson

Explore the busy harbour alive with fishing boats as they land their daily catch, and wander through the historic Old Town with its curiosity shops and Priory Church. The busy town centre has a wide range of shops, coffee shops and cafes, and there is a good selection of bars and restaurants too. And no holiday to Bridlington would be complete without a visit to the impressive Spa Royal Hall and Theatre. Situated almost opposite the Monarch Hotel, the theatre features a range of shows and concerts to suit all tastes throughout the year.

Out and about, there's so much to do and see. The breathtaking Heritage Coast stretches for miles, and a visit to the spectacular cliffs at Flamborough Head is not to be missed. The ancient city of York is about an hour away, and you'll need a day to explore. Walk around the preserved city walls, visit the impressive Minster, and amble around the labyrinth of narrow streets known as The Shambles for interesting souvenirs and curios. The lovely 'floral town' of Harrogate is within reach too, or take a journey back in time at the award winning Eden Camp, a unique museum recreating scenes from wartime Britain. A visit to Sewerby Hall and Gardens is well recommended too, as is a gentle tour through the rolling Yorkshire Wolds, and the more dramatic scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors and Captain Cook Country.

The impressive Monarch Hotel is one of Bridlington's leading hotels. It stands right on the seafront, and is perfectly placed on South Marine Drive for a comfortable stroll into town or along the promenade. After a day spent enjoying the sights you can be sure of a warm welcome from our General Manager and staff, together with friendly service and comfortable accommodation. And when it comes to food, you will not be disappointed. Start each day with a hearty breakfast, and in the evening look forward to a mouth-watering three course dinner menu guaranteed to satisfy the healthiest of holiday appetites.

The hotel features a lovely restaurant and comfortable bar area on the first floor, both of which enjoy panoramic sea views, a relaxing ground floor lounge and a quiet no smoking lounge too. There is a good size maple dance floor where entertainment is regularly featured, and a lift serves all floors.

All 40 bedrooms are en suite and include colour TV, telephone and tea and coffee making facilities. Limited free car parking is also available.

Conference Delegates. The Monarch Hotel is perfectly placed for delegates attending conferences across the road at the Spa Royal Hall and we also have our own fully serviced facilities for seminars and small conferences.

The Monarch Hotel offers a number of special breaks and packages throughout the year, including week long holidays, midweek breaks and weekends. We also feature 'Turkey and Tinsel' festive breaks, Christmas holidays and New Year breaks too. So whether you join us on business or pleasure you can be sure of the very best value at any time of the year. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Directions: Head for Bridlington on the A165 or A614 and follow signs for the Spa and South Beach. The Hotel is opposite the Spa complex.
