Fishguard has an enviable location overlooking the tranquillity of Fishguard Bay and set at thegateway to the spectacular Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. It was also the last place in Britain to be invaded in the late 18th century, as well as the scene of the film version of Dylan Thomas’s famous ‘Under Milk Wood’. Divided into an upper and lower town it still has a thriving centre and bustling port and is the perfect base to discover the natural beauty and coastline of Pembrokeshire.

Situated seven hundred feet above sea level and surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in Wales, Llandrindod Wells is one of Britain’s hidden treasures. It was the Victorians who developed the town into one of the most fashionable Spa towns in Britain, and you can still visit the Pump Room where it was once possible to take the mineral rich waters. Temple Gardens is the perfect place to relax and watch the world go by, whilst for the more energetic there is a purpose-built indoor bowling centre nearby.

Set in the pretty Victorian spa town of Llandrindod Wells, in the heart of rural Mid Wales, this is the perfect base for a thoroughly Welsh Experience. You’ll enjoy a true taste of everything this wonderful country has to offer, including a special visit from a local Welsh Male Voice Choir, a jam-packed excursion programme showcasing the very best of Wales, plus a special Welsh Gala Dinner too.
|
Hardly Welsh in character, it developed into a Victorian spa town in the mid 19th century, with rather opulent buildings, new hotels, parks and lakes. An attraction is the restored Pump Room in the Rock Park, where there is a small health centre. The sedate Victorian atmosphere has been preserved and because of its central location, it is an excellent base from which to tour the scenic countryside. As an added bonus this holiday includes a special Welsh Night too!
|
The National Botanic Garden of Wales is the first botanic garden to be created in nearly 200 years, and it forms the focal point of this excellent gardens tour. Our packed itinerary also features four more gardens too, from historic Singleton Park, with its own botanical gardens, to the Museum of Welsh Life which offers a unique insight into social history through its fascinating garden displays.
